Small Businesses Fearful Of Web Designers

05 October 2004

A study of clients using Trendbyte/aspiramedia web design services over the last quarter has found that the majority of Small and Micro business owner/managers have limited awareness of how and where to find the services they need.

The survey found that 85% of clients had only a basic grasp of the Internet. 66% admitted to not knowing where to find services including how to obtain a domain name or hosting for their site.

The businesses are also discouraged from using Web Design services because of perceived high design costs and excessive technical jargon used by the designer. As a consequence 85% of the clients did not have a website before using our services.

The study concluded that the majority of clients were likely to incur high design costs because less than 15% had any structural idea for their site and had done little preparation before consulting the designer.
